A large Pebble Large mouth-blown glass vase in aubergine, designed by Kate Hume for When Objects Work, with dimensions ca. 29 cm wide, 29 cm deep and 20 cm high, originating from Amsterdam, the Netherlands, in excellent condition.
Description from the seller
Large sculptural mouth-blown glass vase from the iconic Pebble/Rock series, designed by Kate Hume and released by When Objects Work, a leading international design platform
Kate Hume works worldwide as an interior designer for ‘the rich & famous’. (www.katehume.com)
This concerns the Pebble model (Large), finished in a deep aubergine color with rich, gemstone-like nuances.
Size: approx. 29 × 29 cm × 20 cm
The vase is characterized by an organic, slightly asymmetrical shape. This tension in the form is typical of Kate Hume's work and reinforces the sculptural character of the object. The piece is intended as an autonomous work of art and functions excellently as a statement piece in an interior.
This sculptural vase is mouth-blown and crafted in deeply tinted glass, which provides a warm, layered glow and clear visual depth.
The vase is mouth-blown and hand-formed. Subtle variations in shape, glass thickness, and surface are inherent to the artisanal making process and characteristic of the work of Kate Hume and the production of When Objects Work.
The high gloss and saturated color create a strong play of light, whether as a standalone piece or when paired with other vases from the series.
