This is an original gelatin silver photographic print made by the studio of George Rodger or Studio Magnum Photos before the 1970s.
The purpose of this print was to promote the photographer's work in Magazines and/or Newspapers.
Normally called an "agency copy", this type of photography is made from the original negative or a copy of a negative generated by the Magnum agency itself.
Sometimes the back of the print contains various information, including dimensions, copyright, and caption.
The "agency copies" are not intended for museum display but remain an interesting historical document of a journalistic activity of the past.
