This iconic model, designed by the genius René Lalique on September 4, 1931 (ref. 1194 in Félix Marcilhac's comprehensive catalogue, listed in the 1932 price list and reissued in 1937), was reproduced in pure crystal after 1945 under the enlightened direction of Marc Lalique, marking the inaugural era of 'Cristal Lalique'.

Raw embodiment of the ancient aurochs, the animal with muscular, dynamic forms – head lowered, tapered horns, hooves anchored – evokes a sculptural vitality of timeless Art Deco elegance, on a crystalline rectangular base with clean lines.

Made using the masterful technique of molded and pressed crystal, perfected by Marc Lalique for a dazzling transparency and superior shine (composed of about 24% lead, injected under high pressure at over 1,000°C into hand-chiseled steel molds), this piece reveals a satin finish with a velvety softness, achieved through precise manual polishing after controlled cooling.

The quality is unmatched: absolute clarity without bubbles or imperfections, where light diffracts into reflections.
Subtle nacres give the bull an almost lifelike and textured presence—stretched skin folds, prominent muscles, and a whipped tail finely chiseled with supreme artisanal finesse. A feat of the workshops in Wingen-sur-Moder, where three cold finishing processes were needed for one hot worker, preserving René's legacy in post-war luxury crystal innovation.
