Thinking About Love - Hand signed is a 40 x 40 cm original pop art painting by MEDSAN from France, created in 2024 using acrylic, markers and spray paint on canvas, hand-signed on front and back with a certificate of authenticity, sold direct from the artist, edition Original, in excellent condition and ready to hang.
Description from the seller
Original work created with acrylic paint, Posca markers, and spray paint. Signed Medsan, an artist known for his subversions of cultural icons and his pop compositions with strong narrative resonance.
Medsan presents a work that is both playful and deeply introspective. At the center of the composition, a seated figure, inspired by the famous Thinker, appears absorbed in an intimate reflection, while a vibrant red heart radiates above it, like an obsessive thought or a universal emotion. Around this central figure, stylized silhouettes in motion, naive animals, and flying shapes orbit, evoking spontaneous energy and the graphic language of Keith Haring. The contrast is sharp between the immobility of the main character and the joyful bustle surrounding it, highlighting the tension between interiority and the external world. The deliberately simple palette—light blue, white, black, and red—enhances the legibility of the message and the immediate visual impact. The heart becomes here a raw, almost childish symbol, but charged with meaning: love, desire, doubt, vulnerability. This work sits within a contemporary pop approach, accessible and narrative, where popular iconography dialogues with the great figures of art history. Thinking About Love is a painting that speaks to everyone, oscillating between graphic lightness and universal reflection on human emotion.

An artists' studio bringing together around a living, plural contemporary creation. Established as a genuine site of artistic production, the studio operates both as a space for collective creation and for individual approaches, depending on the projects and works. Atelier Joconde is also a family venture. Yack, a contemporary figurative painter, develops a narrative and introspective body of work with cinematic and realistic influences. Beside him, Medsan, oriented toward pop art painting, explores color, modern iconography and visual culture. Finally, Neo Pablo pursues a more instinctive approach, blending abstract art, outsider art and figurative abstraction. Each work is conceived, created and supervised within the studio, with a shared artistic standard and an identity of its own for each artist."}
