Mr. Count of Lorgeril:
It could possibly be one of the following six people [source: Wikipedia]:
1). Victor Émile de Lorgeril (1823-1891), owner of Château de Beauchesne, husband of Augustinus Marie Henriette Le Pelletier de Lagarde (1831-1868).
2). Henri Alexandre de Lorgeril (1838–1911), lord of Château du Chalonge in Trébedan.
3). Charles Marie de Lorgeril (1812-1886), officer in the French navy under the command of Marie Jean-François Layrle in 1841 aboard the brig Le Hussard in the Antilles.
4). Charles Louis Marie Michaël (Viscount) de Lorgeril (1849-1897), owner of the Château de la Bourbansais in Goudemail. General councillor of Ille-et-Vilaine for the Tinténiac canton, and deputy of Ille-et-Vilaine in 1889. President of the Departmental Agricultural Association of Ille-et-Vilaine.
5). Hippolyte-Louis, viscount of Lorgeril, born on May 24, 1811 in Château du Chalonge (Trébédan) and died on July 5, 1888 in the same Château. He was a poet and writer, director of the Impartial de Bretagne in 1842, a legitimist newspaper, general councillor of Côtes-du-Nord, Catholic and legitimist member of Parliament in 1871, and senator in 1875.
6). Maurice Charles Marie-Joseph de Lorgeril (1858-1932), husband of Jeanne Cécile Marie Huet de La Tour du Breuil (1865-1942).
The person on the list who most qualifies is Henri Alexandre de Lorgeril (1838-1911), lord of Château du Chalonge in Trébedan (see the main photo). He holds the title of Count and is therefore referred to as "Henri-Alexandre, Comte de Lorgeril." Currently, by coincidence, the obituary of Henri-Alexandre, Comte de Lorgeril is being offered elsewhere on the internet (see the last photo of a partial screenshot).
History of the Lorgeril family
The Lorgeril family is a remaining branch of the French nobility, originally from Brittany. Among this family are several officers of the Royal Navy and several politicians.
An old Lorgeril family took its name from the lordship of Lorgeril, situated in the parish of Lescouët-Jugon in Côtes-d'Armor. The family is known from Olivier de Lorgeril, who is mentioned in 1311 and is said to have become extinct in 1483 with Jehan de Lorgeril, the father of Guyonne de Lorgeril, who handed the lordship of Lorgeril to her husband, Jean III de Rohan.
The current Lorgeril family proved its lineage in 1669, during the reform of the nobility in the kingdom, through Guillaume de Lorgeril, a squire from Lescouët-Jugon, who married Jeanne du Boisadam. They had a son, François de Lorgeril, also a squire, who around 1530 married Julienne Rouxel, Lady of La Jartière.
The Lorgeril family was recognized as noble by decrees of the Parliament of Brittany on 20 November 1638 and 17 October 1668.
This family appears on Jacques de Marsay's list of surviving French families of medieval origin, compiled from the lists of Gustave Chaix d'Est-Ange and Baron de Woelmont, on which the Lorgeril family is mentioned.
