Description from the seller
Omega Classic 10K Gold Filled Bezel Ref. P-6247
It is an exceptional vintage specimen from the famous Swiss house Omega, one of the benchmark brands in the world of Swiss watchmaking. This model from the House, renowned for the moon landing, dates back to about the mid-1950s, featuring a 10k gold-filled case as noted on the case back. It is equipped with a manually wound movement of Swiss manufacture, with excellent timekeeping. There is a particular engraving on the case back, probably to celebrate the years of service of some employee at the company mentioned, giving the piece added historical value.
The model presents itself perfectly on an aesthetic level; the signs of time on the case, the bezel, and the case back are imperceptible. The hands, the indices, the dial, and the house logo, however, are perfect and exceptionally well preserved. Silver-colored dial with gilt Arabic numerals, changing appearance depending on the perspective from which it is observed. The crown shows some signs of wear due to age but is original. The watch is equipped with a non-original leather strap that harmonizes well with the warm tones of the case and dial. The presented model is functional and original in all its internal parts. Splendid vintage watch, of manufacture, ideal for occasions, as a dress watch.
