Japanese Juniper bonsai in Tanuki (Phoenix Graft) style, an evergreen specimen with a living canopy about 50 cm wide, a deadwood trunk roughly 15 cm in diameter and a height of approximately 58 cm, potted in a rectangular ceramic pot 7 × 16 × 25 cm.
Description from the seller
Juniper Bonsai Tanuki Style – Dramatic Deadwood Trunk – 58 cm – Unique Artistic Composition
This striking Juniper bonsai is an exceptional artistic composition created in the Tanuki (Phoenix Graft) style, one of the most expressive and dramatic forms in bonsai art.
The composition is built around an imposing natural deadwood trunk, powerfully sculpted by time, featuring deep fissures, hollows and a strong vertical movement. Living juniper veins have been skillfully integrated into the deadwood, creating a highly convincing and harmonious illusion of an ancient tree surviving extreme natural conditions.
The foliage is healthy, compact and well distributed, forming distinct green pads that contrast beautifully with the pale, weathered texture of the deadwood. Moss accents at the base enhance the natural, mountain-inspired landscape feel of the composition.
This bonsai is not intended to imitate a classical form, but rather to evoke emotion, age and resilience, making it an ideal centerpiece for collectors who appreciate expressive and unconventional bonsai art.
