Description from the seller
Chinese Silver Bangle, Late Qing – Early Republic Period
Closed silver bangle of circular form, made from a hollow tubular body tapering slightly from approx. 5 mm to 3 mm in thickness. The bracelet is decorated with two applied wire-wrapped segments, a characteristic feature of traditional Chinese silver jewellery of the late 19th to early 20th century.
The interior bears a single rectangular stamped mark reading 纹銀 (Wen Yin), a traditional Chinese silver designation indicating solid silver. The bangle is non-magnetic and emits a clear metallic ring when gently struck, consistent with high-grade silver. No additional maker’s or retailer’s marks are present.
The bracelet is seamless and does not open, reflecting a traditional method of manufacture and intended daily wear. Surface wear and patina are consistent with age and prolonged use.
