A good whisky, very designed, but still not boring. Overall, the aromas are a bit too simple for me and not particularly complex. I think you can spot it with two or three drams, but after that it's just a tasty all-day dram.
Lots of fructose and it's quite rich, creamy and slightly cheesy, like fruit gum. I hardly find any smoky notes here, but I'm a bit weak on the ear anyway. I find it quite harmonious and round, but also relatively simple.
Water opens it up a bit and I like the nose better that way because it looks a bit more structured.
Yes, again that intense and slightly sticky fruit sweetness, but also a good portion of light, fresh wood behind it. That's delicious and not out of round, but somehow too sweet and simple, too characterless. With water I suddenly and clearly find the smoky note.
Finish
The mouthfeel is mouth-filling and warm, very creamy and sweet. The finish is almost medium long,
