Vintage Embossed Brass Fire Screen – Dutch Tavern Scene – Hearth Decor
Add a touch of old-world charm to your fireplace with this beautiful embossed brass fire screen. Featuring a highly detailed "Repoussé" tavern scene, this piece depicts a lively 17th-century style gathering. The scene is framed by an ornate, shell-motif border and stands on elegant, curved brass feet.
Design: Rectangular "Cheval" style with a central handle for easy movement.
Motif: Traditional Dutch/Flemish tavern scene with figures around a table.
Condition: Very good vintage condition with a rich, natural patina. one dent / nail hole lower central panel, please see photographs no deep scratches.
The top handle has suffered a small brake to the casting on one side, this is an easy solder repair for the right person, I have left un repaired intentionally as it does not affect the cosmetic view of the screen.
Left with the original patina, not polished for originality.
Material: Solid Brass with stained plywood backing.
