ROMANO DI MASSA (Parma, 1889 - Nervi 1985)
"Pineapples and Lemons", 1969, oil on panel
Dimensions cm 31x25.5
Signed and dated in the upper left corner with a brush
On the back of the panel are recorded, written in ballpoint: the painter’s first and last name; the panel’s dimensions expressed in centimeters; the title; the year. There is also a paper label bearing the number 8.
The painting is currently owned by the direct heirs and has never undergone any further transfers of ownership. There is no record of any exhibitions during the artist's lifetime.
The condition is excellent, as the painting has so far been framed and protected by glass.
The work will be shipped via a tracked express courier.
Packaging with shock-absorbing materials (bubble wrap and plywood protection). The painted surface and the panel will be protected with acid-free tissue paper.
Frame not included.

ROMANO DI MASSA - Painter and ceramist, studied at the Regio Istituto di Belle Arti di Parma. Settled in Milan in 1920, he established himself as a portraitist, decorator, illustrator and advertising graphic designer. As a painter he exhibited at the National Art Exhibition of Brera, in Milan, in the editions of 1920 and 1922. He participated in the Monza Triennale (1930), in the Ligurian Syndicate Exhibition (1932), in that of the Interprovincial Syndicate (1937) and in the Exhibition of the Lombard painters and sculptors Syndicate of Milan (1948). From 1929 to 1932 he was the artistic director of the Albissola manufactory Società Per l’Industria Ceramica Artistica. His works are preserved at the Museo del Castello Sforzesco in Milan and in the collection of the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Parma.
