Material: wood, metal (brass-colored)
Epoch: Middle of the 20th century

Description
Elegant, freestanding newspaper or magazine stand made of dark-stained wood with richly decorated metal elements in brass-look finish. The side panels are curved and are complemented by decorative appliqués, including a sculptural medallion with a horse’s head as well as floral ornaments in a classical-historic style.
The sturdy central handle made of metal is turned and ends in an ornamentally shaped grip section. The feet are made of solid metal and are designed as decorative elements, giving the object a secure stance and, at the same time, a representative appearance.
