The exterior is hand-painted in vibrant Famille Rose enamels, showcasing a cyclical "Four Seasons" floral motif including lotus, plum blossom, and orchid. Each floral vignette is accompanied by graceful calligraphic inscriptions in black ink, adding a scholarly "literati" aesthetic to the piece.

Decoration: Hand-painted botanical studies with poetic calligraphy.
Markings: Red iron-red seal marks are present both on the base of the jar and inside the lid finial, signifying quality and provenance.
