Lacrymal (1990) - Mononoke Outfit

Lacrymal (Jimmy) was born in 1990 in Aubervilliers. It is there that he began his artistic practice as a self-taught artist, painting on the walls of his town characters that he blends with collages made using software and printed. His works are characterized by a tension between two typologies of shapes and lines. It was in 2018 that Jimmy adopted the pseudonym Lacrymal for the creation of his paintings, a name that refers to the tear gland. His compositions, imbued with humor, reinterpret works by great masters or figures from contemporary popular culture, such as musicians, actors or other visual artists. Since he began creating his works on canvas in his studio, he has exhibited in numerous venues in France, as well as in Spain and Switzerland.
