Description from the seller
No Name – Rare British Military Pocket Watch GSTP M1070 (World War II Era)
This is a rare British military pocket watch produced for the British Armed Forces in the late 1930s and actively used throughout World War II.
The watch features a nickel-plated brass case with a snap-on case back. The case bears correct and original British military issue markings:
Broad Arrow (British Army property mark)
GSTP M1070 – General Service Timepiece
Temporary Pattern (general service watch used for temporary military assignment)
Individual issue serial number
The case diameter is approximately 52 mm. The watch retains its original crown.
The case has never been restored and remains in original military condition. The dial shows natural fine hairline marks consistent with age and service use, which are expected and accepted characteristics of genuine military-issued watches. These details are clearly visible in the photographs.
The watch features an original matte black dial with luminous Arabic numerals and hands, a railway-style minute track, and a small seconds sub-dial at 6 o’clock. The dial displays attractive natural patina, adding strong character and authenticity.
Inside is a 15-jewel, manual-wind Swiss mechanical movement, running perfectly. The movement has been fully and professionally serviced by our watchmaker.
The watch is fitted with a plexiglass crystal.
The watch is original in all its parts and is in overall very good condition for a World War II military pocket watch.
Era:
Used by the British Army between 1939 and 1945, throughout the duration of World War II.
