Teunis Ooms, son of Dirk Ooms and Antje de Bes., was a painter born in Schoonhoven on 31 December 1906 and died in Leiden in 1999. Teunis lived and worked in Rotterdam and was regarded as part of the Leiden School, painting forest landscapes, landscapes, and still lifes. Teunis, together with his brother Dirk Ooms, ran an art dealership at Haarlemmerstraat 93 in Leiden.
