Description from the seller
Extremely rare
Author: Vincenzo Giliberto / Vincent Gilbert
Gilbert was a Canon Regular active at the end of the sixteenth and the beginning of the seventeenth century. His book La Couronne originally appeared in Italian and was translated into French by De La Porte. It contains 24 sermons that follow the liturgical Sundays between Pentecost and Advent.
The book is now extremely rare. In the large international catalog WorldCat there is only one edition (Sainte-Geneviève) to be found. In its original binding, this book is extraordinarily rare, and it is especially interesting for bibliographers and collectors.

Very good; originally bound in beautiful parchment; title written in old script; provenance on the flyleaf; beautiful old script on the page of the approbation; the text block is in good condition; fresh pages; some signs of wear; surprising that a book in its original state has been preserved so beautifully through the centuries; photos form an integral part of the description.
