Jone Hopper presented Trois gracies (XL), an original mixed-media on canvas artwork, 70 × 107 cm, created in 2020 or later, hand-signed and sold directly by the artist with a certificate of authenticity.
Description from the seller
- Rolled delivery in a tube, without a chassis -
- Large format 107 x 70 cm (Approximately 90 x 60 cm when the canvas is mounted on a stretcher by the purchaser).
Unique piece with certificate of authenticity.
Original artwork on linen canvas without a frame.
- Mixed media
Born in 1977, Jone Hopper is a French artist.
In the late 1980s, he honed his skills on the streets through an emerging movement at the time: graffiti. He tagged his name on streets, walls, and trains. Known for his characters and spray-painted signatures, he created the TBS (The Brutal Style) collective with Skepa and a few other committed graffiti artists. We know little about him because the artist remains true to the spirit of graffiti and wishes to remain anonymous, believing that the work should be highlighted, not the person. Nonexistent on social media, absent from gallery openings, a faceless artist, he remains a true mystery except to a few gallery owners in the know. He compares his painting to a Hip Hop track; he acts like a sampler... sampling, cutting, assembling, and thus creating new images.
Mixed techniques: aerosol, oil pastel, and acrylic on canvas.
