Description from the seller

Offered without reserve price
Originally from the province of Ravenna, Attilio Pratella, after starting his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna, won a scholarship that led him to Naples. In this city he studied under masters such as Filippo Palizzi and Domenico Morelli, quickly embedding himself in the lively local artistic scene alongside friends and colleagues such as Giuseppe Casciaro and Eduardo Dalbono. From 1881 he was a constant presence at the exhibitions of the Promotrice “Salvator Rosa.”
Attilio Pratella is regarded as one of the most important Neapolitan vedutisti of his time. His works are included in all the leading museum and institutional collections of Neapolitan painting from the late nineteenth century to the early twentieth century.
The work is presented in good condition. Note a few brown stains on the paper due to oxidation, visible in the sky (see photograph). Also note some glue residues from a previous mounting along the upper edge and along the lower edge. Overall the work remains perfectly legible and of great aesthetic impact.
Framed in a large contemporary frame (notable are breaks to the decorative plaster on the frame, restored with a re-gilding).
Piece accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity and Legitimate Provenance.
Shipped by express courier within 24/48 hours with INSURANCE.
Please note that in the case of sales abroad, shipping can only be carried out AFTER obtaining the export authorization from the Ministry of Cultural Heritage (Certificate of Free Circulation of Fine Arts). This process generally involves a minimum waiting period of about 20 days.
The shipping costs abroad include the expense related to the export process for Fine arts and any customs procedures.
