Original lithograph depicting Matera, created by Fortunato Depero and published inside the famous volume Le Cento Città (no reproductions, no copies)
Measurements: 29 x 27 cm
The original 1938 work is part of the historic series of the Hundred Italian Cities conceived by Depero, in which the Futurist artist interprets urban centers through a strongly stylized, symbolic, and ultramodern graphic language.
The composition dedicated to Matera features a heraldic, monumental layout, with concise iconographic elements and bold color schemes, typical of the artist's mature body of work.

This lithograph is one of the hundred original plates from 1938 published in the volume Le Cento Città by Fortunato Depero, and should be regarded as an original editorial graphic work, originating from a dismembered book.
