Frame - Wood - Cornice ovale

Oval frame in gilded wood, Rococo style, probably early 20th century, dimensions 40×33 cm.

The frame features an elaborate incised decoration that echoes the ornamental motifs of eighteenth-century Rococo: asymmetric volutes, vegetal scrolls, and sinuous forms unfold around the central oval profile, creating a sense of movement and lightness characteristic of this style.

The structure is made of carved wood with a gilded finish, probably gilded or with gold paint, showing signs of wear and patina compatible with production in the early to mid-20th century. The inner edge of the oval is decorated with a fine geometric cordon of small elements that frame the opening.

Conditions: The frame is in overall good condition; two small protrusions are slightly chipped at the bottom left.
