Napoleon in Prussia – Large antique engraving – Chasselat del. & B. Hofelmann sc. – c. 1810 – Framed
A grand historical engraving titled 'Napoleon in Prussia', depicting an emblematic narrative scene from the Prussian campaign: Napoleon, caught in a violent storm, seeks shelter in a house, where he proves attentive and benevolent toward a family.
This iconography, highly appreciated at the beginning of the 19th century, illustrates a humanized and moral vision of the Emperor, typical of Napoleonic aesthetics.
