Description from the seller
The piece on offer is a woodcut. The graphic (woodcut) comes from an early period of the artist, when he combined representational elements with abstract ones. Print graphics of this kind emerged in parallel with large-format paintings on canvas, which today are largely in museums and private collections.
Adolphe Lechtenberg, born 1952.
Lives in Düsseldorf and Mexico.
After art lessons at the high school with Franz-Joseph van der Grinten and Johannes Stüttgen, I studied at the State Academy of Fine Arts, Düsseldorf, under professors Fritz Schwegler, Joseph Beuys and Erwin Heerich.
1978 appointment as a Meisterschüler at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf.
The works of Lechtenberg are represented internationally in numerous private and public collections.
