Artist's biography
Aleksandra Monika Chuchmacz is a visual artist, painter and photographer born in 1978 in Będzin, Poland. She lives and works in the Marche region, Italy. She is a Polish and Italian citizen.

She receives artistic training in Poland, where she earns a technical high school diploma in Art with a focus on graphic design and photography, and subsequently a master's degree in Graphic Arts and Photography from the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków. In 2003–2004 she participates in the Erasmus programme at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan. The degrees are recognized in Italy by the Ministry of Education.

She has been working in the field of visual arts for over ten years, with experience in painting, photography, graphic design and decoration. Since 2007 she has worked as a freelance photographer and has run a professional photography studio in Emilia-Romagna.

His painting production consists mainly of works executed with oil colors on canvas, presented in group exhibitions, art fairs and competitions in Italy and abroad. Between 2016 and 2019 he exhibited in Monte Carlo (Biennale of Art), Rome, Turin, Cesena, Forlì, Pesaro, Loreto, Montecosaro and Porto Sant’Elpidio.

The subjects, predominantly floral and natural, are recognizable but not descriptive in a photographic sense: reality is filtered through gesture, color, and material.

The starting realism is transformed into an emotional and symbolic vision, where the flower becomes an autonomous presence, often isolated or suspended in space. The shapes emerge from abstract or textural backgrounds, creating a constant dialogue between figuration and abstraction.

The brushstroke is energetic and layered, with an evident use of painting material and controlled drips that accentuate the sense of movement. Color plays a central role: intense and contrasting tones coexist with lighter blocks, generating depth and visual rhythm.

The composition seeks a balance between technical control and a free gesture. The oil on canvas is used to enhance texture, light, and chromatic density, giving the works a strong physical presence. The painterly language can be defined as material expressive realism.
