Crash or John Matos, (born October 11, 1961, in the Bronx, New York) is a graffiti artist.
John Matos began graffiti at a very young age on New York trains before practicing on canvases. He joined the Sidney Janis Gallery as early as 1983, before entering the world’s major collections, from the MOMA in New York to the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam. He came to public attention by co-producing with Keith Haring the advertising campaign, Peter Stuyvesant.
