Description of the work
This Black Hole is part of Bruno Bani's exploration of the relationship between light, matter, and perceptual depth. The work arises from the layering of three levels: a 40×40 canvas hosts a 30×30 disc applied with gold spray, on which a second, entirely white, 25×25 round canvas is placed.
Among the two circles, a luminous ring emerges, generated by the integrated white LED, which defines the boundary of the 'vortex' and transforms the work into a mobile and dynamic pictoscultoreal form.
Light becomes a structural part of the composition: it accentuates the edge of the gold disc, produces different chromatic vibrations depending on the environment, and activates a constant dialogue between the surface and the surrounding space.
The optical effect of the golden ring, perceived differently depending on external lighting, is a sought-after characteristic of the artist, consistent with all of their work.
An elegant and rigorous work that embodies Bani's language, where painting, sculpture, and light merge into a single visual identity.
