Christopher Joseph Mudgett (born in 1982 in Sherman, Texas, United States) is an American contemporary artist known for his distinctive style blending modern abstraction, geometric forms, and stylized figures. His work, often executed in black and white, draws inspiration from Cubist and Modernist movements while offering a highly graphic contemporary minimalist approach. Since 2012, he has presented numerous solo and collective exhibitions across the United States, notably in Los Angeles, and his works are today present in numerous international private collections in North America, Europe, and Asia.
The proposed work is titled Head of Woman, created in 2016. It is a unique original work (not reproduced), executed in oil and acrylic on paper. The composition depicts an abstract female figure constructed from clean geometric shapes, in a monochrome aesthetic characteristic of the artist.
The dimensions of the image are approximately 25 x 33 cm. The sheet with margins measures about 30 x 40 cm. The artwork is presented in a frame of about 40 x 50 cm, with an approximate depth of 3 cm.
The piece is hand-signed by Christopher Mudgett in the bottom-right corner.
