Description from the seller
Stories from the Arabian Nights retold by Laurence hausman with drawings by Edmund Dulac - Hodder & Stoughton publishers, London, [n.d. 1930] - 319 pp + - linen binding with gilt lettering on the spine and front cover
Good. The book is somewhat bent. Signatures/names on the first flyleaf. The interior is discolored, with a few spots/creases. The top inner margin is open in several places.
This edition contains a misprint.
On the reverse side of page 73, page 92 has been printed in error. After that follows a loose leaf for the plate “Till the tale of the mirror …”, which elsewhere in the book is correctly presented with the plate. At this point there should have been pages 74, 75, and 76 (the final pages of “The Princess of Derayabar”).
Next comes the half-title of “The Story of the Magic Horse,” (77 unnumbered), which is correct. On the verso side of this, however, there is page 96, followed by page 93, whereas these should have been pages 78 and 79. After this, the pagination then continues normally again from page 80.
Pages 92, 96 and 93 therefore appear twice in this copy.
Contains all 20 tipped-in plates mentioned in the list of illustrations—all are depicted.
