Description from the seller

Mircea Ciobanu (pseudonym of Mircea Sandu) (born June 13, 1940, Bucharest - died April 22, 1996, Bucharest) was a Romanian painter, poet, prose writer, and essayist. He was the best apprentice of Corneliu Baba. The present work is a sketch, an oil painting on cardboard. A very beautiful piece, worthy of being part of a collection of Romanian painters. In France, he was promoted by the one who had brought fame to the painter Marc Chagall. Ciobanu was and remains highly appreciated in Switzerland. The size of the work is 40 / 40 cm without the frame, which is massive and heavy.
