Description from the seller
ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This portrait is not a tribute — it is a confrontation.
In Picasso, I chose to strip the myth down to its raw essence: the face of a man who shattered artistic conventions and rebuilt them in his own image. The fragmented stencil lines echo the radical vision that defined his work — breaking form, perspective, and narrative to create something entirely new.
The explosive background, saturated with reds and textured layers, evokes both passion and violence — the chaos necessary for creation. The face emerges from this tension, intense and unyielding, as if observing the viewer rather than being observed.
Rather than recreating a historical figure, this piece captures an energy: obsession, genius, arrogance, vulnerability. The contrasts between light and shadow mirror the duality of Picasso himself — builder and destroyer, classical and revolutionary.
This artwork speaks to collectors who are drawn to powerful figures that changed the course of art history. A bold, contemporary reinterpretation that bridges modern street art and 20th-century artistic revolution.
About the artist
I am a French stencil artist whose work explores the tension between instinct and precision, emotion and control. My creative process combines spontaneous, textured backgrounds with meticulously hand-cut multi-layer stencils, resulting in artworks that are both raw and highly structured.
I have exhibited alongside major figures of the urban art scene such as L’Atlas, C215, Carole B, Wawapod, and Jo Di Bona at the SPERA ART FAIR.
My work has been collected across Europe, with more than 300 artworks sold internationally.
I have also performed live painting sessions for major institutions and brands, including Disneyland Paris.
Each artwork I create is a unique original. While stencils may be reused, every background is created instinctively, ensuring that no two pieces are ever identical. My work transforms iconic figures into contemporary symbols charged with emotion, tension, and meaning.
