Description: "Wait for it" is a masterful contemporary landscape that captures a moment of high tension disguised as peaceful stillness. While two gazelles graze in the foreground under the golden light of the savanna, a lion is hidden in the tall grass to the right, poised and ready to hunt. In the distance, elephants and a giraffe move across the horizon, unaware of the drama unfolding.
This piece reflects the duality of nature: the beautiful, meditative silence and the raw, focused energy of the hunt. My process for this painting was a deep exercise in focus; just as the lion is completely immersed in its goal, I found myself "disappearing" into the canvas, leaving the physical world behind to capture this soul-stirring moment of anticipation.
