Description from the seller
Work created by the French artist STeW for his exhibition "Super Green"; it is painted on recovered treated wood and varnished.
STeW born in 1978 - Street Art & Stencil
Based in Ivry-sur-Seine, STeW has left his mark on walls around the world for nearly 30 years. Entered graffiti in 1996, he discovered stenciling in 2006 and developed a unique technique: using his stencils as stamps. This singular approach allows him to create majestic birds drawn by white, enhanced by vibrant backgrounds inspired by Asian prints.
Major work: The "Blue Heron", a monumental fresco 53 meters high in the 13th arrondissement of Paris (Place de la Vénétie), recognized as one of the highest painted facades in Europe. Created in 2013 with the Itinerrance gallery, this work required 3 months of work and more than a hundred stencils.
Book: In 2025, STeW publishes "À Vol d'Oiseau", a 300-page work recounting 10 years of street work around the world—from the Paris suburbs to international urban corners.
The street remains his favorite playground: "That’s where I got my training, where meetings are created, where we offer people a bit of happiness..." A silent revolution, stencil after stencil.
Notable projects: Tour Paris 13, Djerbahood (Tunisia), exhibitions in Moscow, Lisbon, Vancouver, London...
