Johan Barthold Jongkind (1819-1891) is a key figure in 19th-century painting and a pioneer of impressionism. He was born in the Netherlands, but spent most of his life in France, where he befriended artists such as Monet, Boudin, Daubigny, and Pissarro. A beautifully executed watercolor by this great master, elegantly framed under glass. Includes a certificate of authenticity from a sworn appraiser for paintings from the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries.
