This concerns a beautiful painting by the Katwijk painter Niek van der Plas, 1954.
The dimensions of this beautiful large work are 50 cm x 60 cm measured without a frame.
This painting is also reproduced in his book and is an enhancement to any interior.
Biography
Niek van der Plas (1954) grew up in Katwijk aan Zee, as the eldest son in a family of four children. The fishing village, where the old white church, the sea, and the dunes play a prominent role, can be seen in many of his paintings. Niek started drawing at a young age, encouraged by his father. In 1966, he was nominated as a student at the Famous Artist School in the United States. Van der Plas is a colorist. He prefers to work with warm colors. His work thus acquires a French atmosphere. The paintings are appreciated by a broad audience both domestically and internationally. In the premiere of Joop van den Ende's theater production 'Aspects of Love,' Niek van der Plas's painting 'Canal Grande (Venice)' was chosen for the set, alongside paintings by artists such as Vincent van Gogh and Maximilien Luce.
