Description from the seller
Important antique gilded mirror with a neoclassical architectural frame – late 19th century
Elegant and understated antique wall mirror, with a carved gilded wooden frame, clearly Neoclassical in inspiration and featuring an architectural composition of great balance and presence.
The frame presents a robust and refined structure, with corners highlighted in the form of stepped cartouches, decorated with relief moldings and finely crafted friezes. The ornamentation, discreet yet of high quality, responds to the decorative canons of late 19th-century Historicism, evoking French and Italian models of classical tradition.
It retains its original, beveled mirror with slight signs of aging (small marks and patinas), consistent with its age and that add authenticity without detracting from its decorative value.
A highly versatile piece, ideal for both classical interiors and contemporary spaces that seek an element with character and distinction. Very suitable for a foyer, living room, or study.
Highlighted features
Carved and gilded wood.
Neoclassical architectural design

Excellent proportion and build quality.
Style: Neoclassical / Historicism
Period: late 19th century (c. 1880–1900)
Condition: Good, with a noble patina and signs of use appropriate to age (see photos)
