In 1982, the watchmaker Gerd-Rüdiger Lang founded this company in Munich. Chronoswiss specializes in mechanical wristwatches with Swiss-quality movements produced by ETA, as well as on the basis of old stock of calibers from Enicar and Marvin.
Two in-house calibres are also produced. Since 1988, all cases have been produced in-house. A particular success was the Régulateur, a wristwatch with a regulator dial based on the model of precision pendulum clocks. A pocket watch „Regulateur” with a Minerva calibre has also been produced.
Chronoswiss now exports to more than 40 countries worldwide.
About 7,000 watches are sold each year in about 500 stores worldwide—in Paris, London, New York.
and Tokyo.
At the beginning of 2012, Chronoswiss was sold to a family of Swiss entrepreneurs, with Oliver Ebstein taking on the role of CEO. In 2014, Chronoswiss moved to its new headquarters in Lucerne, Switzerland.
