GABRIOLI presents OCCHI DI DRAGO, a 2025 original mixed media artwork on wood, signed, with frame, 34 × 34 cm (depth 3.5 cm), Italy, with a Certificate of Authenticity, a unique piece in an abstract style.
Description from the seller
GABRIOLI is an Italian emerging artist who reinterprets the great Renaissance and medieval painting tradition through a contemporary language. Her research focuses on classical techniques — oil pigments, egg tempera, lacquers and precious metal leaves in gold and silver — used to create works rich in visual depth and refined details.
This textured painting is an example of her style. The composition, created on a pine wood panel, is inspired by the ornamentation of the mantle of a Madonna with Child from the fifteenth century and features a vibrant weave of peacock eyes that gives the work a strong visual impact. The three-dimensional surfaces blend with the use of purple lacquer and with the pigment “Dragon's Blood” characterized by warm amber tones, bringing to life a classical subject reinterpreted in a modern, tactile, and sensory key.
A unique piece, ideal for those who want to add to their collection a work that unites tradition, experimentation, and a refined contemporary aesthetic.
Dimensions with frame: 34 cm height, 34 cm width, 3.5 cm depth
One-of-a-kind work. Signed at the bottom right.
The work comes with an Authentication Certificate.
