AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Sublime, rare large round ceramic dish, Swiss pottery with enamels from Thun, dating from 1878–1890, signed/stamped Schoch-Läderach. Made in terracotta clay incised with stylized floral motifs and friezes of geometric patterns, glazed on a white/off-white pale yellow background, in shades of dark green, dark orange-red, yellow, and dark blue. Superb artisanal craftsmanship.

Diameter 31 cm, height 2 cm, center slightly concave. Very good overall condition for its age, though showing some wear, including a number of chips/glaze losses relatively discreet, 2 small glaze losses in the center, one slightly visible as a piece of green leaf, another discreetly small white on the beige background. Glaze cracked with age, overall harmonious. Weighs approximately 1 kg.
