AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Walnut wood secretary desk, carved, from the late 1800s, Luigi Filippo era, of Neapolitan manufacture, arched and contoured front, with six levels of drawers giving the optical illusion of a seven-drawer cabinet. In fact, the first drawer is real; drawers 2–3–4 are joined and open on a hinge to reveal an internal secret compartment that hides a drawer with four padlocks for secrets, with a working key, and respectively two side drawers, a large central compartment, and a finishing cornice. The wood is light maple; the writing surface has leather. Then drawers 5–6 are usable with the key. The hardware is intact and the original keys are included, with side columns and spools. Details carved with floral and foliate motifs, onion-shaped feet, and a molding and era of Filippo.
The solid marble is very heavy and gray.
The height is 150 cm, the width is 104 cm, and the depth is 44 cm.
On the back, the patina and imperfections of the era. From a great collection.
Professional shipping on a wooden pallet in Europe. There may be small increases in shipping costs, especially if delivery is to Switzerland, the Canary Islands, Malta, the United Kingdom, or the Rest of the World.
