Carriages and horses were longtime good companions, then, freed from their heavy harness, the horses slipped away. As for the carriages, they reveal, in this delicate composition with a chiselled line, their quaint charm and the remarkable artisanal craftsmanship of which France was one of the most prestigious centers.
In colorful escutcheons or at the center of the square, open-top carriages, elegant coupés, berlines, or high-perch phaetons testify to the refinement of an entire era.

A square scarf over 60 years old in very good overall condition, the scarf completely retains its charm and functionality: note that the silk is vintage (thus supple), 1 or 2 light threads pulled for a few centimeters, a shadow still present after pressing, and one corner not rolled; these signs of wear also explain its low price for a highly sought-after square. The tones have remained intact.
