Participant in numerous plein air painting camps and symposia both in the country and abroad, including France, Greece, Germany, Slovenia, India, Nepal, Tibet. His works are in private collections domestically and internationally, including the painting collection of the city of Arras in France, Tilburg in the Netherlands, the Georg von Opel Collection in Eschborn, Germany, and the Miyauchy Foundation in Tokyo, Japan. In 2019 he received a grant from the Pollock-Krasner Foundation.
In his landscapes he often transports us to Southern Europe. Lofty cypress trees, blooming Bougainvillea, and intriguing architecture reveal the climate of hot France, Greece, or Italy. Nature is Tomasz Klimczyk's greatest source of inspiration. In his latest series of paintings, he engages with it without any distance. He creates images as if woven from pure detail. Leaves, leaflets, little leaves, the outlines of canopies and twigs. Yet you will not find botanical precision in them. All these simplified fragments of plants form an astonishing spectrum of colors and shapes. They create a work of art.
