Isle of Raasay Special Release 2025 – Selfridges Exclusive, 70 cl, 60.5% ABV, matured in ex-rye casks and finished in ex-PX and ex-Oloroso sherry quarter casks, produced and bottled on the Isle of Raasay, Scotland.
Description from the seller
Released to commemorate being crowned Scottish Whisky Distillery of the Year at the Scottish Whisky Awards, this limited edition bottling marks a defining milestone in the distillery’s journey.
This whisky represents the oldest liquid released by the distillery to date, offering a rare and significant snapshot of its developing house style. Matured initially in the robust foundations of ex-rye whiskey casks, the spirit was then finished in a combination of ex-Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry quarter casks, adding depth, complexity, and balance.
The resulting whisky displays peppery spice, almond and nutty richness, alongside layers of sweet, rounded fruit brought forward by the sherry influence. Carefully crafted and bottled in limited quantities, this release stands as both a celebration of award-winning excellence and a testament to thoughtful cask maturation.
Every drop of this whisky has been distilled, matured, and bottled on the Isle of Raasay, underscoring its strong sense of place and commitment to provenance.
