Description from the seller
Large-format facsimile edition of the Luther Bible, published by Coron Verlag Monika Schoeller & Co. ( 1985/1989) and produced in Germany.
This is a collector’s reproduction, not an original 1630, 17th-century book.
The volume consists of approximately 165 leaves (approx. 365 printed pages) on thick, heavy paper, without page numbering, following historical printing practice. It includes full-color baroque illustrations reproduced from the historical original.
Decorative hardbound binding with rich ornamentation, metal corner fittings and two metal clasps, designed in a 17th-century style.
Please note: one of the clasps is defective, and there is a small area of damage to the cover near the other clasp, as clearly visible in the photos. Apart from this, the binding is solid and the book is complete.
Dimensions: approx. 45 × 31 cm
Spine thickness: approx. 6 cm
Weight: approx. 4.7 kg
When open, the book measures approximately 65 cm.
The photos are also part of the description.
An impressive and attractive collector’s facsimile, ideal for display, study, or a library collection.
