AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Up for auction is a nice antique 4/4 violin for professional musician or collector. The label says: Carlo Ferdinando Landolfi, nella Contrada di Santa Margarita, al Segno della Sirena, Milano 1780. The instrument remains in good condition with some tears and wears but no cracks. New boxwood set up, new bridge and new strings. This is a superb sounding instrument, also very beautiful in appearance. The scroll is professionally executed and the edges are masterfully done. The softly flamed two pieces maple back measures 359 mm. The total length of the violin is 589 mm. The width of the upper bouts: 167 mm; middle bouts: 110 mm; lower bouts: 201 mm. Beautiful model with a very elegant natural amber patina, very high quality of woods, perfect details all over. Shipping worldwide insured!

Violins and bows described as 'certified' or 'attributed' include images of their certificates and are therefore considered to have a higher degree of documented certainty regarding maker, origin, and age than instruments described only as 'labelled' (violins) or 'stamped' (bows), for which we provide no guarantee of any kind.
