Violin, 4/4 model, labelled Cesare Candi Genova, manufactured in 1926, wooden instrument of unknown origin, weight 0.5 kg, in good condition, tested and playable, with no extras.

On offer is an old full sized master violin, labeled: "Cesare Candi fece in Genova l' anno 1926 Cesare Candi Genova"
Back length (excluding bottom of neck): 359 mm.
Total length: 590 mm.
The width of the upper bouts: 167 mm; middle bouts: 115 mm; lower bouts: 207 mm.
The instrument is ready to play with no cracks.
The violin has two pieces back made from beautiful softly flamed maple with matched sides, neck and scroll; the table is likewise matching of high quality, of straight medium grained spruce. Rich golden amber varnish shows an amazing wooden choice. The purfling has been painstakingly inlaid front and back. The sound is deep, rich, mellow, powerful.
