Nine English-language Sunday newspaper pages and strips from the Betty series by C.A. Voight, dating to 1926, in good condition with a loose page binding, published by Various, each page featuring a full Betty strip with some back-page Mutt and Jeff.
Description from the seller
Rare surviving episodes from various Sunday Comics sections, featuring episodes of Betty by C.A. Voight on one each single full page. Published in 1926. 9 pages
Only some images were selected.
Comics on the back: Mutt and Jeff by Bud Fisher (1x Bungle Family)
C.A. Voight's Betty is a real charmer. Betty was a Sunday only feature and Voight uses the full page to deliver some beautiful work. The humor is of the light hearted variety that seems to characterize those "girl" strips of the 20's, as the ad says "if you like girls in pretty clothes, humorous ideas well drawn--look for Betty every Sunday." We have fun at the beach, hi-jinx on the golf course, and hormones running wild in the office. Throw in some slap-stick with Betty's father and the bases are well covered.
The pages are in good condition, although wrinkles, tears, flaking and missing pieces may occur.
Will be shipped with track&trace.
