Angelo Scardino, Anatomia della Resistenza, a unique sculpture in resin and PLA, 53 cm high, 28 cm wide and 18 cm deep, dated 2026, signed by the artist, in white, brown and blue tones, from the artist's studio, in excellent condition.
Description from the seller
Anatomy of the Resistance investigates the relationship between the human body and artificial structure, staging a figure suspended in a state of physical and existential tension.
The body, rendered through a fluid and vibrant surface in bluish-violet tones, appears traversed and supported by a modular grid that evokes a technological spine or a contemporary exoskeleton.
The composition suggests a double reading: on the one hand, the coercion imposed by external systems, and on the other, the body's capacity to adapt, resist, and transform.
The metal structure is not merely a containment element, but becomes an integral part of the figure’s very anatomy, a symbol of a resistance that runs through the hybridization of human and artificial.
The sculpture engages strongly with the surrounding space: the dynamic pose and the vertical line give rise to a play of shadows that enhances the three-dimensional perception and the sense of suspension.
A work with strong visual and conceptual impact, situated within the realm of contemporary sculpture that reflects on the themes of identity, technology, and the transformation of the body in the present.
