Description from the seller
In the Space Between
This string art piece is an evocation of the female body, born from tension, rhythm, and silence. No line is drawn. The body appears slowly, suggested by thousands of black threads stretched one by one, which cross, brush against each other, and eventually give rise to the form.
Depending on the distance of the gaze, the image transforms. Up close, the apparent chaos of the wires seizes the eye and disrupts readability. As one steps back, the silhouette asserts itself, shaped by shadows, the solids and the voids. The body is not shown; it is felt.
The pose, with its curves and restraint, evokes a femininity that is both fragile and assertive. The central void becomes a breath, a space for breathing that balances the composition and accentuates the sense of movement, like a moment suspended in time.
More than 5,000 wire tensions were necessary to construct this work. Each pass contributes to the final balance, to the density, to the light. The gesture is patient, precise, almost meditational.
This piece is an absolutely unique work. It has never been, and will never be, reproduced. No other painting will be able to reproduce this composition, this tension, or this silhouette.
