Old Delft blue and white tin-glazed earthenware plate, Royal Delft model, commemorating the First World War. Stay vigilant - 1916. Sold. This tin-glazed earthenware plate is decorated in blue tones with a standing Dutch lion, surrounded by a fence, and bears the inscription: blijft waakzaam (stay vigilant). The date 1916 is inscribed underneath. The border is adorned with orange blossoms/orange motifs, a patriotic symbol of the Dutch royal family.
