A rare mid‑18th‑century oak chest from the United Kingdom, dating ca. 1740–1780, with two interior drawers and a beautiful patina, measuring about 130–136 cm wide, 79 cm high and 53–54 cm deep, in good condition with minor signs of wear.

A beautiful and rare mid-18th-century oak chest with stunning color, shine, and patina.
Made from oak planks and with paneled sides.
The patina on the lid is very beautiful.
At the bottom of the chest, there are two drawers that are locked from the inside with a wooden pin.
Engraving 'D L' on the massive oak lid.
The bottom, inside, and back have a beautiful dry surface.
In quite good condition, with some old restorations.
Bottom and back panel of the chest are in good condition.

D = 53 - 54 cm. (deepest-deepest)
Recently thoroughly checked for loose parts of the construction and veneer. No active woodworm detected on 10/2/2026
